bleak

so a little preview of whats to come in the landscape issue of victus magazine… with all of this awful weather that we have been having, i thought i would try and make something pretty (or at least interesting) out of the grey, gloomy skies that we have constantly above us.  these images were quite fun to make actually.  they were very simple photographs but with a little editing, overlaying and flipping on photoshop, they have become something completely different and i hope, not gloomy, but delicate and fragile.

victus magazine

at the moment we are doing a project where we create the brief ourselves.  im doing 3 issues of a magazine called victus.  its latin for ‘food, sustenance, living & manner of life’.  stumbling across this word was great as i find its always quite hard to think of a name for something!  the issues will be based on themes, at the moment they are landscape, food and interiors - all things that i like to shoot!  so this is my research sketchbook for it that i thought I’d share with you all.  i must stress that these images are not my own, they have been taken from various websites and magazines purely for research and inspiration.  thank you for all those that have inspired me, you’ve made doing this research fun!  will keep you updated with the progress of the magazines - watch this space!
