how time flies

gosh, what a summer…  wales, cornwall, peak district, canal-ing and then two weeks shooting my first commision all one week after the other.  it certainly has been a hectic 2 months, but one that i will look back on with fond memories.  i guess this summer has taught me how much you can do when you have the luxury of time.  now its back to uni, setting up the new digs with friends, and some form of routine!  just trying to squeeze in some photographs that i took for my personal portfolio (in between editing for the commission) whilst i was in newquay shooting for Lorica Insurance Brokers before i start back to uni projects.  these next three images are an extension from some images i took back in april at polzeath (dreamy series) im still in love with the pale colour palette, i think it really works with shots like this.

//with this lovely hot weather that we have been having i thought it was the best time to used some ‘sunography’ material that i got in liberties over christmas.  you put a image (printed onto acetate) or objects etc onto the material and then expose it in sunlight for anything up to 20mins.  you then wash the material and the image appears.  had a really fun afternoon doing it - and they looked pretty drying on the washing line!  there were only 6 squares of material, wish i had more!  the colours were so cool as well, was nice to do something in vibrant colours, makes a change from the pale coloured images that i have been doing recently!  probably going to develop them more, sew into them etc, but i’ll be saving that for a rainy day!//

//green sunography - used earrings & a bird ornament to make this one, also put it in some washing detergent to make the edges go a bit yellow so it looked 60’s/70’s style//
